Australian healthcare group Lumia Care has expanded its presence to South Australia with the acquisition of Pop-Up Health, adding 330 nurses and care workers to its national network.
Founded in 2012 by the Pappin family, Pop-Up Health provides services including in-home nursing, community, school and custodial nursing to more than 400 South Australians every day.
Lumia Care CEO Jason Cartwright said Pop-Up Health has served the SA community for over 12 years.
鈥淲ith their expertise around community, school and specialties such as providing health care for those in custodial care, Pop-Up is an excellent addition to our network and broadens the range of services that the Lumia Care network provides,鈥 said Cartwright.
CEO of Pop-Up Jane Pappin said the opportunity to join the Lumia Care group came at the right time given the changes occurring across the health care sector.
鈥淭he sector is transforming quickly, with legislative changes and evolving community expectations as to the type and quality of health care services individuals and families want and need, and deserve.
鈥淎s part of the Lumia Group network, we will be able to share experiences and learnings on, for example, the best practice delivery of home care packages, or technological advances, with others in the national Lumia network.鈥
Pop-Up is the latest acquisition by Lumia Care, which already includes Regal Care, i-Nurse, Kemp Recruitment, Colbrow Care, Healthcare HQ and Meditech Staffing in its network, providing services across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.
Cartwright said Lumia鈥檚 approach to becoming the leading provider of health care services in Australia was to focus on quality of service and flexibility across its network.
鈥淏y combining quality and flexibility through our integrated health care offering, we are providing opportunities for our health care workers to grow their skills and ensuring our clients have greater access to consistent, and consistently excellent, care across every major state in Australia.鈥
