Christmas cheer delivered to Sydney Children's 黑料吃瓜群网 workers
Thursday, 17 December, 2020
Thank you gifts were delivered to frontline workers and their families at , Randwick by a convoy of Santa鈥檚 Little Sherpas.
Santa chose on-demand courier company to deliver the gifts, as the company guarantees reliable, same-day delivery nationally, right up to Christmas Eve.
鈥淔rontline doctors and nurses at Sydney Children鈥檚 黑料吃瓜群网, Randwick 鈥 and all hospitals 鈥 worked tirelessly and selflessly during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. We wanted to acknowledge that and help Santa out by delivering some joy and a big thank you to them,鈥 Sherpa CEO Duncan Brett said.
While gift vouchers and toys were delivered to the hospital workers, Sherpa can deliver anything in as little as one hour via the Sherpa app.
鈥淲e stand ready to step in to ensure no-one is disappointed this Christmas, particularly now that traditional courier companies have much earlier cut-off dates,鈥 Brett added.
Retailers big and small have been using Sherpa to fulfil their Christmas orders, with the company seeing an increase of 200% on last year鈥檚 deliveries.
During the COVID-19 crisis, when there was a huge uptake in delivery demand, the scalability of Sherpa鈥檚 technology allowed it to absorb a four-fold increase in demand for home delivery of Woolworths groceries. Big brands including Apple, Dan Murphy鈥檚 and Chemist Warehouse, who rely on Sherpa to do their same-day deliveries, have integrated Sherpa technology into their websites so delivery happens automatically, at speed.
鈥淭heir need to send same-day deliveries went through the roof, and we helped them facilitate that,鈥 Brett said. 鈥淭he acceleration of e-commerce and home delivery during the pandemic has broken records.鈥
