Antimicrobial testing prioritised

Antimicrobial testing provider has reviewed its scheduling amid the COVID-19 pandemic to prioritise the testing of sanitation products to ensure results are rapidly provided to manufacturers.

鈥淲e want to do our part to support these manufacturers to meet demand, and we believe shifting our focus to prioritise the relevant tests is vital in streamlining the supply chain process,鈥 M茅rieux NutriSciences Australia Managing Director Glenn Sparke said.

鈥淲e have been working with clients for decades to test their disinfectant and antimicrobial products for efficacy, priding ourselves on timely and accurate test results, utilising state-of-the-art equipment and methods.鈥

Sparke explained that the company鈥檚 mission is to protect consumer health by preventing health risks related to food and the use of everyday consumer products.

鈥淚n these times of crisis, food and pharmaceutical products remain essentials and it is our duty to ensure their absolute safety and quality.

鈥淲e have been concerned to hear of the recent shortage of sanitising products, not only on the supermarket shelves, but also within business and hospital and healthcare settings.

Sparke said that current short-term concerns will lead to the formation of long-term habits, with sanitisation products becoming essential and integral items in all areas of society like they never have before.

鈥淚鈥檓 sure there will be many companies moving into this area as a new product line of their business, and therefore we are here to support them to understand Australian regulations and what they need to comply with before selling products,鈥 he said.
