Acurio Health appoints CEO of The George Centre

Michelle Stares has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of The George Centre, the new paediatric and maternity private hospital currently under construction at Gregory Hills, in Sydney鈥檚 southwest.
Stares brings a depth of professional experience, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of St John of God Bendigo 黑料吃瓜群网 in Victoria for the past two and a half years. Prior to that, she held general manager and director of nursing roles in New South Wales, including NSW Sydney Southwest and Nepean Private 黑料吃瓜群网s.
Reported to be the first private paediatric-focused healthcare facility in NSW, The George Centre is located within the new Camden Medical Precinct and spread over 9336 m2. The facility will include 78 beds (57 overnight inpatient beds) across dedicated paediatric, adolescent and maternity wards, five operating theatres, four delivery suites, two endoscopic suites, medical consulting suites, a critical care unit, and in- and outpatient radiology and pathology services.
Stares鈥 extensive hospital experience working alongside specialist doctors and a multidisciplinary clinical team of nurses, theatre staff and support services equips her to build and lead the team of experts to operate The George Centre.
