Medibank partners with League to improve customer experience

Private health insurer Medibank has announced a three-year strategic partnership with League, a global healthcare consumer experience platform.

This collaboration hopes to enable a more personalised and engaging healthcare experience for Medibank鈥檚 4.2 million customers and support the company's vision to deliver the best health and wellbeing for Australia by 2030.

League鈥檚 data and AI-driven technology platform will be embedded directly within Medibank鈥檚 digital capabilities, providing customers with seamlessly integrated individualised next-best actions and content.

This agreement represents League鈥檚 first customer outside of North America. The partnership will initially focus on enabling Medibank鈥檚 new corporate digital health and wellbeing solutions, aimed at transforming the employee health and wellbeing experience for corporate Australia. The platform will also be integrated into the My Medibank app experience early next year.

鈥淲e have a clear ambition to better connect health for 10 million Australians. This means better connecting health services and 鈥 for our existing customers聽鈥 integrating those seamlessly with your health insurance membership,鈥 Medibank鈥檚 Group Lead Digital & Ventures Rob Deeming said.

League has raised over $220 million USD in venture capital to date, with their most recent round being led by Australia-based, TDM Growth Partners, known investors in Square, Twilio and Slack.

With hundreds of customers, including organisations such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Manulife and Highmark Health, League鈥檚 healthcare CX platform empowers payers, providers and consumer health partners to build and deploy high-engagement, personalised healthcare experiences consumers love.

鈥淢edibank鈥檚 ambition to provide the best health and wellbeing experience in Australia is bold, and we鈥檙e honoured to be their chosen partner,鈥 said Mike Serbinis, founder and CEO of League.

鈥淭he League platform is uniquely positioned to deliver on this vision, offering unparalleled personalisation and a proven track record of improved health outcomes. We鈥檙e excited to collaborate and make a real difference in the lives of Australians,鈥 Serbinis said.
