MIKO Drip IV Monitoring System

Tuesday, 02 July, 2019

The MIKO IV Monitoring system saves healthcare workers from having to regularly check how much fluid remains in a patient’s IV. It does this by monitoring the weight of the IV bag.

Leveraging Bluetooth low-power technology, the system constantly collects IV drip information into a cloud-based database, providing real-time status to caregivers. It incorporates information about IV bags and IV sets, including brands, models, medications, capacities, gtt/mL and more.

MIKO has a physical alert, with the monitor flashing a red light and emitting a beeping sound (with volume control) when it is running low, a blue light when it is empty and a green light when it is monitoring. The alert can be configured by mobile app or via MIKO’s software; the cloud-based solution can be public or private and can easily be integrated into third-party systems.

The IV monitor has a self-checking battery alert to advise the user when the battery is running low.
