Lumia Care acquires nursing agency Healthcare HQ
Tuesday, 20 February, 2024
Lumia Care has acquired Sydney-based specialist nursing agency Healthcare HQ, opening up additional professional development and work opportunities for its 200+ nurses across Lumia鈥檚 healthcare, aged care and allied services network.
Founded by registered nurse Angela Thwaites, Healthcare HQ offers nurses contract and other roles at over 100 client sites across the hospital and aged care sectors with more than 200 nurses being placed in shifts every day.
Lumia Care鈥檚 CEO, Jason Cartwright, said Healthcare HQ鈥檚 approach to matching well-trained, skilled and specialist staff to patient needs was an excellent cultural fit for the Lumia Care group of businesses.
Healthcare HQ鈥檚 business and employment model is 鈥渁 perfect fit鈥 for Lumia Care, Cartwright said.
鈥淲e have more than 3000 staff across our national network of healthcare businesses, including nurses, aged care workers and allied health professionals.
鈥淏eing part of the Lumia Care group will broaden the options for nursing staff and give them more choice and flexibility, from the type of high quality of work they choose, how frequently they wish to work and at what locations.
鈥淭hat includes work opportunities for those who are relocating to another region, someone wanting a two-week high-paid shift in a remote location, those looking to juggle their job with school hours or perhaps wanting more work in a specialist area.
鈥淎s our healthcare network continues to grow, those work opportunities will only increase.鈥
Healthcare HQ is the latest addition to the Lumia Care group, which now includes Regal Care, i-Nurse, Kemp Recruitment, Colbrow Care and Meditech Staffing.
Lumia Care was founded in May 2022 as a platform for bringing together quality healthcare businesses providing a range of services, including in-home care, aged care and disability support, and healthcare staffing to hospitals and private providers. The company currently employs more than 3000 healthcare professionals across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland.
