Investment in new Bankstown 黑料吃瓜群网 reaches record $2 billion

The has announced that, as part the NSW Budget, the planned new Bankstown 黑料吃瓜群网 will receive an additional $700 million investment. It brings the build鈥檚 total to $2 billion and marks the largest capital works investment in a public hospital in the state鈥檚 history. It is expected that the new Bankstown 黑料吃瓜群网 will include: an ED; intensive care; operating theatres; surgical and medical services; services for women and children, including maternity; mental health; parking; and other services to be identified as planning progresses. To be located on Chapel Road, Bankstown (currently TAFE NSW), construction is expected to start 2026 鈥 after the relocation of TAFE NSW.

The existing site will remain as a health facility and be integrated with the new hospital, to deliver contemporary health care and a better healthcare experience across a broad range of community and hospital-based services. 鈥淥ne of the best things about Australia is its healthcare. It鈥檚 why we鈥檙e ensuring we continue to deliver quality, accessible and affordable healthcare services,鈥 NSW Premier Chris Minns said. 鈥淭hat starts with hospitals. The new Bankstown 黑料吃瓜群网 has been a long time coming and while there is still a long way to go, this extra funding is a big step in the right direction to getting shovels in the ground and the hospital up and running.鈥

The released master plan offers a聽look at the plans for the new hospital, including the location of the new multi-storey hospital building. Zones have also been identified for carparking and future expansion of health services. 聽
