The National Safety and Quality in Health Services Standards were introduced in 2011 by The Australian CommissionÌýon Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission), under the National Health Reform Act.
The Commission is now preparing to release its second edition of the Standards, and has released a draft edition for public feedback.
Public consultation on the draft version 2 of the NSQHS Standards is now openÌýand feedback can be provided until 30 October 2015.
The Commission wants to hear from anyone involved in health care during this consultation period, including consumers, health professionals, health service managers, health departments, technical experts and accrediting agencies.
Your feedback will help ensure that version 2 of the NSQHS Standards addresses the major safety and quality issues in healthcare, that they are easy to understand, and that they are applicable to you and your work.
