Fellows, members and staff of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and聽Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) were extremely saddened to hear of the death of their friend and colleague, Liam聽Davison and his wife Frankie.

College Chief Executive Officer Mr James McAdam said, 鈥淟iam has made an enormous contribution聽to our College over almost eight years.

鈥淗e worked closely with College Fellows and his colleagues to pioneer our online learning聽environment which has been instrumental in providing educational resources and support to our聽trainees as they progress toward becoming specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists.

鈥淗owever Liam meant much more to his colleagues than just the work he did for the College.聽Whether it was joining in discussions about walking trails, cycling, travel, restaurants to try, a good聽book to read or just completing the newspaper quiz over lunch, he was a highly regarded friend to聽many people throughout the College.

鈥淥ur thoughts and deepest sympathies are with their children, Sam and Milly and Liam and聽Frankie鈥檚 extended family at this sad time,鈥� Mr McAdam said.

The College will now look for a permanent way to remember Liam and honour his contribution to聽RANZCOG.
